Hollywood has often been a trendsetter, and never more than in the 1950s when vixens walking around their handsomely appointed boudoirs in marabou mules set a new standard in fantasy. The impracticality of the style only made it more sensual and appealing, not unlike the gas-guzzling cars guys drove to make an impression on the gals.
